It's official. I can no longer keep it a secret. I think I would have been able to hold out had I had my co-conspirator here, but keeping a secret by yourself is really no fun...
We've decided to name him..da da daaaa.... Case Jacobson Findlay.
The name Case came from a guy Brian worked with on his last trip to Afghanistan (we both just really liked his name) and well, you know where Jacobson is from. We're really happy we'll be keeping Jacobson in the family - and so are the Jacobsons! Who knows he may even be a "CJ" down the road (something I secretly thought would be cool when I was younger :))...
Sadly, this means I will no longer refer to him as Archie. Which is fine, I'm sure, with pretty much everyone.
As of today, I am 26 weeks pregnant and Case weighs 2 lbs and is 9 1/2 inches long. As of my check-up last week, his heart rate is steady at 135 bpm and he's moving a ton! I'm moving a ton too, trying to keep up with a regualr workout schedule although it is getting a little awkward when I drop down for push-ups in bodypump! The scale is steadily becoming a scarier and scarier thing to look at, but knowing I'm gaining for the little guy makes it all worthwhile!
Can't wait until 23 November when I get to have another ultrasound! I've buttered up our midwife so much that she put another request in for me just so we could get a good profile shot! "I know your husband's deployed and I want you to have pictures to show him, " I believe were her exact words. Hopefully Case will be a little more chill this time around so we can get some good shots!
